782 Readings in 43 Countries and 50 States

Boston Center for the Arts and Pilgrim Theatre in cooperation with area artists present a staged reading of Aristophanes' raucous, sexy, ancient Greek play, "Lysistrata." The project brings together artists from a wide variety of area theatres and universities including Tufts, MIT, Emerson College, Tempest Productions, and Boston College. To date there are 782 readings that will take place on March 3rd in over 40 countries from Beirut to Buenos Aires. All 50 states are participating and there are over ten readings in the Boston area alone. The Boston Center for the Arts event will be ASL interpreted. There will be a cash bar and live music. Donations will go to United for Justice with Peace and other area peace organizations.
